Rio Day One

Today we are moving slow but made our way down the street a couple blocks to the 9 story mall.  On floor 8 was a great view of Sugarloaf and selfies were encouraged (sorry 4-H Photography - Ms Aimee took a selfie).

We found a little restaurant called Tiramisu.  This place had the friendliest staff and the most amazing lasagna!  We will definitely be back!!

We grabbed some local cash, a few bottles of water, a bag of candied macadamia nuts and headed back to our hotel.  We are now watching the opening ceremony from our slightly hard bed...we did discuss purchasing a new mattress while in the mall and having it delivered to our hotel room as it could cost less than the trips to the chiropractor and physical therapist when we return. haha


Thank goodness we are doing this in Portuguese...and didn't have to wait until 'U' for the Estados Unidos Team!
